My favorite coffee of 2026, this Honduran Geisha reminds me of some of my favorite Congo offerings which have all but vanished the past few years. Geisha is a variety of Arabica coffee. It's rare, yields considerably less than other varieties, and requires higher altitudes. Renowned for it's floral notes and high price, this particular offering screams champagne taste on a beer budget. For reference, my first ever CUP of Geisha coffee was $15! Aromas of butter and red apple with the grind, brews yield a heavier than expected body for a lighter roast. Nice but not overpowering grapefruit acidity that dissipates as the cup cools, joining papaya like sweetness and red apple.
